1/2 anniversary

Yesterday was the first little anniversary in the Communication Office, where I work. I would never believe if someone told me a year ago that I will work at University. I had a dream to teach at University. Today my job is connected with the quality of education. After the interview, I didn’t even expect to get this job.  I think I was inspired by the difference between Ukrainian and Polish education systems. I really love studying here and I want to continue my studies as a PhD student.
This post is not about me, it’s about our “dream team”. I won’t write sweet things about you, guys. Just truth... :) I can’t realize that a half of a year has already passed. I really love you, guys! I want you to know that I’m happy to come to our office every day. We have a nice and pleasant atmosphere. We’re ready to help each other no matter what time it is, is it a weekend or a holiday - we always keep in touch. I was scared to create a Blog but your encouragement made me feel so self-confident. Today I even want to create my own web-site. So, as for me, WE are a great team. We are really like a family, we have common happiness or, sometimes, even sadness. If someone is ill, everyone wants to help. If some have success in any field of life, we are always very proud. Here is a photo of our team on Silesia Days.

Notes not about the topic: in the last few weeks I got some information from different people that their friends like my Blog or that I really inspired someone. Please, if you like my Blog or you have some remarks, if you want to know something or even just to go for a coffee with me, WRITE  to me! I would be glad to get any feedback from you.

#Lwowweekend

This weekend I went to Lvov with my friend Maria. I’ve chosen hashtag #lwowweekend because it was real wow weekend. Ukraine is a very contrasting country. People are mostly friendly and nice. The thing I love the most in Lvov is cuisine. This blog will mostly consist of photos and I’ll give my top 5 places to visit. All museums you can find on Tripadvisor, so I want to tell you about my own #mustvisit places.

1.    Atlas /Rynok Square 45

Great place to visit. I think that sense of humor serves as a criterion in choosing waiters. All of the waiters are unbelievably nice and I was nonstop laughing because they were joking all the time. The dishes were tasty. This place is irreplaceable for breakfasts and cocktail pre-parties. I guarantee you a good mood for the whole day after visiting this place.

2.     Tante Sofie Cafe Escargot / Drukarska 6A

It is a very nice place, looks like a cafe in Provance. Great place to set and think about your awesome life. I’ve tried very tasty soups and Spritz Aperol cocktails. They say there are good snails served in Tante Sofie but I hate snails, so I’m not able to advise.

3.    The Room / Lesi Ukrainky 18

Ideal place to have warm soul evening with your love or best friend. As well it’s an amazing for a pre-parting. Waiters are very nice, cocktails are fantastic. The atmosphere is fabulous because of music ideally sorted out by the manager. The manager talks to everyone and makes a friendly atmosphere.

4.    Churrasco  Grill&Beer / Galytska 13

The place is hard to explain. It a very nice grill bar and blah blah blah. BUT the most distinctive thing here is how they serve beer. The beer is normally in a jar for the jam on the desk with dried fish. This is normal for Russians and Ukrainians tp eat dried fish, but even them can't find it in restaurants just at markets. other nationalities are not used to eat something like that. I think it's an interesting experience.

5.    High Castle Hill

Lviv High Castle can be both a major disappointment and biggest surprise to you! Why disappointment? Because despite its promising name, the place is not that high (unless 413 m is impressive for you) and has no castle whatsoever. Why surprise? Because it offers a quiet refuge from the busy city streets, and it has indubitably the best aerial views of the city!

Notes: my top 5 places are for people who has already been to Lvov and just want to have a rest. If you are going there for the first time, I found for you a very nice web page with all need pieces of advice for your trip.
